Issued 3:00 AM NST 22 January 2018 Today Tonight and Tuesday At 3:00 a.m. NST today low 970 mb located northeast of Belle
Isle Bank.
By 10:00 a.m. NST today quasi-stationary low 966 mb located
southeast of Greenland.

At 10:00 a.m. NST today ridge located over the Maritimes.
By 10:00 a.m. NST Tuesday approaching ridge located on a line
northwest-southeast over the Gulf of St. Lawrence.

At 8:00 p.m. NST Tuesday approaching low 995 mb located over
southwestern Quebec.

Marine Weather Statement

Issued 2:51 AM NST 22 January 2018 An intense low pressure system northeast of Belle Isle Bank will move
to lie southeast of Greenland this morning where it will remain
nearly stationary. Strong to gale force west to northwesterlies will
gradually diminish overnight into Tuesday as a ridge of high pressure
builds from the southwest.

Marine interests are advised that gale warnings are in effect for all
waters except the Strait of Belle Isle and Gulf waters.

Marine interests are also advised that freezing spray warnings are in
effect for all waters except the Southern Grand Banks.
