Issued 9:30 PM NST 23 January 2018 Tonight and Wednesday At 9:30 p.m. NST tonight quasi-stationary low 966 mb located
southeast of Greenland.

At 9:30 p.m. NST tonight deepening low 995 mb located over western
Maine.
By 4:00 p.m. NST Wednesday low 976 mb located north of Anticosti
Island.

At 9:30 p.m. NST tonight ridge located on a line northwest-southeast
over central Labrador.
By 9:30 a.m. NST Wednesday departing ridge located on a line
northwest-southeast over northern Labrador Sea.

Marine Weather Statement

Issued 9:19 PM NST 23 January 2018 A low pressure system southeast of Greenland will remain nearly
stationary as a ridge of high pressure slowly approaches from the
southwest. Strong to gale force northwesterlies over northwestern
waters will diminish tonight as the ridge moves offshore.

A second low pressure system will approach from the southwest on
Wednesday and cross Southeastern Labrador in the evening. Winds will
increase to strong to gale force easterlies as it approaches.

Marine interests are advised that gale warnings are in effect for all
waters except Lake Melville.

Marine interests are also advised that freezing spray warnings are in
effect for South Labrador Sea and Northwest Labrador Sea.
