Issued 3:30 PM NST 19 January 2018 Tonight and Saturday At 3:30 p.m. NST today deepening low 985 mb located over the
southern Grand Banks.
By 10:00 a.m. NST Saturday departing low 979 mb located east of
the Marine District.

At 3:30 p.m. NST today quasi-stationary trough located on a line
northwest-southeast over Labrador Sea.

At 10:00 a.m. NST Saturday approaching low 986 mb located over
central Quebec.

Marine Weather Statement

Issued 3:25 PM NST 19 January 2018 A low pressure system over the Southern Grand Banks will move to lie
east of the marine district by Saturday morning. Strong to gale force
southwesterlies to the south of the low shift to strong
northeasterlies to its north. Winds will back to gale force
northerlies as the low moves across the Grand Banks this evening,
then diminish overnight as it departs.

Marine interests are advised that gale warnings are in effect for the
Grand Banks.

Marine interests are also advised that freezing spray warnings are in
effect for Strait of Belle Isle, East Coast - north of Cape St.
Francis, Northeast Coast, Belle Isle Bank, and Funk Island Bank.
