Wave height forecasts for Newfoundland issued by Environment Canada
at 6:00 p.m. NST Saturday 20 January 2018 for tonight and Sunday.
The next scheduled forecast will be issued at 6:00 a.m. NST Sunday.

Forecast values are combined wind wave and swell heights. Highest
waves may be more than twice forecast values. Wave heights may vary
considerably due to shoreline and depth effects.

Strait of Belle Isle.
Outside the ice edge seas 1 metre or less building to 1 to 2 near
midnight.

Northeast Gulf.
Outside the ice edge seas 2 to 3 metres.

Gulf - Port au Port.
Outside the ice edge seas 3 to 4 metres subsiding to 2 to 3 near
midnight then building to 3 to 4 Sunday morning.

Southwest Coast
South Coast
East Coast - Cape St. Francis and south
Funk Island Bank
Northern Grand Banks
Southeastern Grand Banks
Southwestern Grand Banks.
Seas 3 to 5 metres.

East Coast - north of Cape St. Francis
Northeast Coast - Cape St. John and south.
Seas 2 to 3 metres building to 3 to 4 this evening.

Northeast Coast - north of Cape St. John.
Outside the ice edge seas 1 to 2 metres building to 2 to 3 Sunday
afternoon.

Belle Isle Bank - western half.
Outside the ice edge seas 2 metres.

Belle Isle Bank - eastern half.
Seas 3 metres.
