A low pressure system south of Cape Cod will track towards the Maritimes today. Snow ahead of the low is expected to begin early this morning over extreme southern regions of New Brunswick and will spread northward throughout the day. The snow will taper off tonight over most regions but should persist until early Thursday morning over eastern parts of the province. Total snowfall amounts from this system could still potentially reach the warning criteria of 15 centimetres. Some areas along the Bay of Fundy may also see a brief changeover to rain tonight along with a risk of freezing rain.
