Winter storm warning in effect for:
- Alma - Desbiens area
- Ashuapmushuan Wildlife Reserve area
- Normandin - Péribonka area
- Saint-Félicien - Roberval area
Hazardous winter conditions are expected.
A winter storm will bring a total of 25 to 40 centimetres of snow and blowing snow over several areas of Central and Eastern Quebec. The regions from Charlevoix to the Lower North Shore will receive the most significant snowfall amounts. Freezing rain will affect the Gaspé Peninsula and the North Shore tonight and Wednesday morning. Conditions should improve Wednesday afternoon.
Consider postponing non-essential travel until conditions improve. Prepare for quickly changing and deteriorating travel conditions.
Winter storm warnings are issued when multiple types of severe winter weather are expected to occur together.
